• Another tough day early riders on the pass endured wind,sleet and snow. As a result I had to abandon the top of the pass and take this years picture at the half way point on the climb of the Bealach.

DIAL UP and MOBILE USERS.

• Due to the ammount of image and page data that is incorporated in this site we know that it is best suited to Broadband ADSL users. We deliberately make the galleries as small as we possibly can so that they download quickly but still allow competitors to be identified. Even using high compression rates the size of the images used can still be too much for a dial up connection to handle satisfactorily.
• If you are using dial up and are experiencing problems please e-mail the numbers of the competitors you are looking for and we will do a search for you and e-mail back any relevant preview images.
• This site is not specifically designed for mobile phone users although we do have a limmited ammount of content that is compatible. It is possible to view Northsport using a mobile phone but unless you are using a G3 phone it will not download fast enough and the quality is severely compromised.

All our 2008 event galleries now include a Paypal shopping cart. This new template will make ordering and payment very straight forward as prints and digital files can now be ordered directly from the selected image.

If you don't have a Paypal account then don't worry you can still download an order form, pay by cheque and post it to us. Printing will still be organised by us to the usual high standards.

THE NEW YEAR. Here we go again the start of a new year. Once again we have a busy year ahead of us with loads of events to photograph and new services to introduce. Our photographers we be out and about to bring you some fabulous pictures to add to your sports picture album.

WEB ACCESS. The northsport.com website is undergoing an upgrade, certain areas are still being edited and uploaded to our servers, as a result certain items are unavailable at present .

ARCHIVES. 2008 events have been moved to a non searchable archive. 2007 events are still available please e-mail me with requests.

Finding your images.

First of all select an event from the side menu bar, this will direct you to that event pictures. For multi event galleries such as athletics events, these are split up into specific events such as U17 long jump, U23 110m hurdles etc etc simply select the event you are interested in and all the pictures from that event will be displayed as thumbnails click the thumbnail to view a larger version.

For multi competitor events pictures are posted into groups and are in order as they were taken in the order competitors passed the camera.

Please note thumbnails and preview images carry a copyright watermark and are kept small in size deliberatly and should be viewed as a guide to the full size image file. We can produce prints up to (A1) 84x62cm in size, to do this we work with the original camera files which are up 28mb in size, prior to printing we resize, crop, colour and contrast balance before printing onto photographic paper by Fuji and Kodak or using archival large format printers and Ilford paper. For comparison a print from a web preview image would yield a print the size of a large postage stamp!.
